Andover Woman Receives Honor of Top Ten Images at the Grand Imaging Awards
Prestigious Award Adds to Photographer’s Accolades
Andover, KS– Andover photographer, Melissa Kelly, was recently included a prestigious Grand
Imaging Award from Professional Photographers of America (PPA).
Kelly’s image, Big Top Red was selected by an international panel as the Top Ten in the High
School Seniors category at the Grand Imaging Awards. The event was held Monday, January 20,
2020 at PPA’s annual convention, Imaging USA, in Nashville, Tennessee.
“It’s a great honor to be included in the Grand Imaging Awards,” said Kelly. “It’s an amazing
competition to be a part of. I never imagined. It’s a great opportunity to push myself to be a
better photographer each year, to be recognized is just icing on the cake.”
Kelly went up against stiff competition—the best photography as selected by a panel of judges at
the International Photographic Competition (IPC) held this past August —at the event. Entries
for Team USA were chosen by PPA at the International Photographic Competition (IPC) last
August in Atlanta, Georgia. To be considered for next year’s Grand Imaging Awards,
photographers must first enter their images into the IPC.
